Tanjong Katong Secondary School, also known as TKSS, was founded in 1956 as a co-educational school under the leadership of Mr. Lee Kip Lee. The school was relocated several times before finally settling at its current location on Haig Road in 1979. The school has a rich history and has undergone many changes over the years, including a merger with Tanjong Rhu Secondary School in 2005.

TKSS has consistently performed well in academic achievements, with a PSLE aggregate score range of 223-244 and an O-Level pass rate of 97.5% in 2021.
